About the Peppermaster

Born in Montreal Greg was raised on maple syrup until he was abducted by his parents at the age of six and whisked off to The Bahamas. His grand-parents farmed in Athelston Quebec and he has always been driven by local connections to the farms, land and sea that feed him. Caring for his tropical garden and spear-fishing Greg has always traded and sold food. He loves food. Buying quality local supplies from the people who produce them is only natural for the Peppermaster.

Whether drawn to the challenges of spearfishing or climbing and foraging for wild fruit in the Bahamas, launching a new-age restaurant in Nova Scotia, or helping cooperative media ventures and buying groups, or working in community farms in the 1980’s Annapolis valley, Greg has always been intimately connected to food. Today he pushes for sustainable, clean and organic local food security. Now living in his birth province of Quebec he develops sources for local ingredients and manufactures for over 30 Canadian Food Artisans bringing over 150 unique products to market. Those products still use local supplies first.

He cares about the food, the land and the fresh quality flavours inspired by his unique culinary journey which has developed in him a vibrant culinary perspective.
