What is an Elixir?
You're obviously wondering what an elixir is or you wouldn't be here. Elixirs aren't just sauces, they are heritage recipes and flavour profiles that our Peppermaster created over the years. These artisanal blends are part of the Peppermaster brand identity and will surprise you with their flavour and intensity.
How to Use Elixirs
The best time to reach for a Peppermaster Elixir is when you really want to add the crisp flavour of the pepper to your recipe. There is a sweet hint of the cane and tapioca sugars, followed immediately by the flavour of the pepper, and finally, you'll experience the heat of the pepper.
Because there is no acid in the elixir, you can add it to a heavy cream base and not be afraid of breaking the cream. We find they are fun to use as drizzles on ice cream or to add a certain je ne sais quoi to a whipped cream dessert. After all, what chef would want to add a vinegar and garlic based hot sauce to a dessert?
You can add 3/4 oz of an elixir to a sparkling water. We use a soda stream for our bubbles, but you can use any tonic or soda water. You can even use flat water if you like. This will dilute the sugars and the flavours of the fruit will shine in the water.
Greg found that adding the peppers to a sweet dessert sauce could only be done well if the peppers shone their flavour brightly. The only way to do that was to add them fresh. The stunning freshness of the fruit is amazing. They are clean tasting and the flavours do not muddy nor taste dusty like commercial sweet pepper products made with dried peppers can. This unique technique is what makes our Chocolate sauces so smooth.
Featured Elixirs
We have mastered the skill of blending sweet heat with flavour in these products, and you will find the Crazy Hot Liquid Fire and Bahamian Goat Pepper Liquid Fire elixirs will please even the most discerning chiliheads while allowing even timid cooks to use them.
The Crimson Red Liquid Fire and the Bushman Ginger Elixir are mild enough for general usage and so flavourful, they will keep you looking for new ways to use them.

The Heritage Behind the Elixirs
Our Pepper Elixirs are one of the most unique products that our Peppermaster has ever created. First developed as an ingredient for many of our products, like our Pepper Jellies or our Chocolate Sauces, they are unique in the industry.
Greg's favourite elixir is, of course, our Bahamian Goat Pepper Liquid Fire. This one is easy enough to figure out: it's made with the original Bahamian Goat Pepper, sweet organic and fair trade cane sugar, and tapioca syrup. This one surprises you with the punch it packs. It's nowhere near as hot as our best selling elixir, the Crazy Hot Liquid Fire, but it is by far the Peppermaster's favourite.
I'd love to tell you how Greg makes the elixirs, but then we'd have to kill you. All joking aside, the elixirs are just another special all natural minimally processed food product from Brooks Pepperfire Foods' Peppermaster that really shows off what is bright, flavourful and wonderful about the different chili peppers we use. That they risk being extremely hot, is just a by-product of working with varietal peppers like jalapenos, scotch bonnet peppers, or even the world's hottest pepper, Ed Curries' Pepper X.
Since well before 1971 our Peppermaster has been making unique minimally processed products and these elixirs are no exception. Having started in the restaurant industry Greg knows that your food has to be exceptional. Your flavours and ingredients have to be clean and fresh and embody everything that makes people emotionally connect to their food. These elixirs are versatile, bright, and so surprisingly good they invite creativity in the kitchen. We hope that you will experiment with all of them. Explore the flavours and try them in your own recipes. Invoke the spirit of the Peppermaster philosophy of fresh, right-off-the-bush flavour.
Elixirs are not just another hot sauce, they are a unique creation that has become a very special part of the Peppermaster identity. These recipes matter because chili peppers deserve a home in the fruity section of your kitchen.
